URBACT cooperation project “Food Corridors”

During 2019-2022 Tartu County Development Association along with our international partners implemented URBACT cooperation project “Food Corridors”. The outcomes of the project include:

• Tartu county food network – the network includes producers (large- and small-scale), caterers, markets, hotels, universities, development organisations, local governments, tourism networks, Tartu 2024 and many more.
• Tartu county food strategy 2022-2030 – developed by the food network, the strategy is interdisciplinary, based on focus interviews and thorough research.
• International cooperation with other European culinary areas – we are part of the international food network Food Corridors, Tartu County Development Association and the Association of Municipalities of Tartu County have also signed the Glasgow Declaration.
• Green Festival – an experiment to help Tartu county events become environmentally friendlier.
